Because the site is invitation only--the public registration has since been disabled due to spamming--I'm sending invites to anyone who is interested in joining the site. If you are, just post right here with your email or PM it if you are not comfortable publicly sharing it, and i will send you an invite. Take care.

There's a whole thread on here about Blink Nation. If I weren't feeling lazy, I'd go find the link to it. But I, too, joined it when it first started, and couldn't stand it.

personally, i love it. it's a great accessible way to upload videos from youtube, it's got a great chat system and the fact you can add friends like facebook is really cool. i think as far as the games go, that was a real letdown, it will never be like the zone, in fact, i bet you it won't last much longer

I doubt it will last much longer, either.

As much as I don't like BlinkNation, I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts longer than we think it will. I'm sure many doom and gloom predictions were made about the Zone, too.

I tried to join a long time ago, and it wasn't very accessible with my Pac Mate. In my opinion, if I'm gonna enjoy something, let me use my portable device to access it for God's sake. The Zone, I'll have you all know is very accessible with the Pac Mate.

post 11, blink nation is a website kind of like the zone where you can post to message boards, upload videos (from youtube that is), chat, blog, etc

Personally, i like Blink Nation and feel like it has a whole lot of potential. No place is perfect and can always improve. I'd love to find the thread on Blink Nation, as I'm very interested to read it.

Heres' the link to the thread on Blink Nation, Reina. I wish I knew how to make this clickable, but since I don't, you'll probably just have to cut and paste it into your browser.

Sister Dawn, thanks so much for finding that for me. Now, i can take care of my raging curiosity. I will just copy and paste the link. I've tried to figure out how to make it clickable, but i can't figure it out either. Perhaps, i will try to play around and see if this board accepts some html tags that will make the link clickable.

i read the thread. i disagree with some of the things said there, especially about it being too sheltered. I like that there are social networks that the blind can meet up on. After all, it is nice to find people who are like you. It is an awesome idea, and I'll be doing what I can to help improve it. I've tried corresponding with Dustin Bray with some developer tips, but I"ve not heard from him. Do any of you know how i can get in touch with him in another way? I feel like Blink Nation has a whole lot of potential and can become very cool. I'm even willing to give him money to help with the cause if that is an issue. I like what the site is doing, and not ot mention, the name is catchy. i wish I could have thought of something like that. I like the idea of there being a social network just for the blind. After all, we are around the sighted all the time.

Well, the Zone is basically social networking for the blind, too, it's just not set up the same way. But that's okay, differences are good. And yes, I do think the boards accept HTML tags that make links clickable, I just dont' know how.
